My Booking Process & how it works

Sweet! You're here! That means you want to learn more about booking me as your wedding photographer! Woo hoo!!!



So here's what you'll do if you're interested in my photography for your wedding:

  1. Check out my pricing and my work.

  2. Read my bio and the FAQs. Make sure we are a good fit.

  3. Then, contact me via one of these options:

I generally receive your inquiry immediately. (Unless the website form isn't working which seems to happen every now and then.) Since I am a full time working chick, wife, cat/dog mom, friend, daughter, aunt, granddaughter, and gym person and not always glued to my phone/email/Facebook, please sit tight while I review your inquiry. You should receive a response from me within 24 hours. If you don't, please reach out to me. Also, check your junk/spam folder if you emailed me. And, sometimes my reply to you then ends up in your junk/spam folder. Oh how I love technology! It seems that a good old fashioned phone call, or a Facebook message seem to work the best. As long as Facebook notifies me that I have a message....


Anyway! After you've inquired and we've made contact, it's often best to set up a time to chat - whether in person, on the phone, via Zoom, or whatever works best for you. This way, you can tell me more about your day, your budget, and your needs and wants for wedding photography, and I can help you walk through a plan for your wedding photography schedule for the day. This allows us to make sure we are both on the same page from both a time frame/package and budget standpoint and that we are a good fit for one another.


From there, if we are like peas and carrots and you're ready to book, I will send you a contract to read, fill out, and sign. I can send this either via email, or regular US mail. You can send it back by either printing it off, filling it out, scanning it and emailing it back to me, or, printing it off and filling it out by hand and mailing it back to me. If you have Adobe Acrobat, you can also fill it out digitally. A deposit/down payment is also due in order to reserve your date. You can pay me either via Venmo, mail me a check, or bring me some cold hard cash. :) Lots of options here, pick what works best for you.


Your deposit is taken out of your total amount due, and then that amount is due 30 days prior to your wedding date. Once I have your signed contract AND your deposit in hand, your wedding date will be reserved!


Once we sort all of that out, we'll talk about a date for your engagement session, and then, talk wedding day details and time frame.


So there you have it, booking your wedding with me couldn't be easier. And trust me, even if you have more questions after all of this, there is no such thing as a stupid question. I've been photographing weddings since 2004 and I have seen and heard it all and I am always, always happy to help!
